Support to Caregivers Ministry
Mission Statement: The FBC Family Support to Caregivers’ Ministry supports its members who care for a chronically ill, aged, or disabled loved one. This ministry reaches across the boundaries of different diagnoses, different relationships and different life stages to support the family caregivers.
- We envision FBC members in which patients and their families are at the center of all healthcare planning.
- We envision FBC members in which family caregivers lead full and productive lives, as free as possible from depression, pain, isolation, and loneliness.
- We envision FBC members in which the contributions of family caregivers is recognized and supported by healthcare, family and friends.
In short, we envision FBC members in which the work of family care-giving is recognized and rewarded in a manner commensurate with its importance.

Faith and Families
Mission Statement: To provide support and counseling to families and individuals who are moving toward: obtaining, maintaining, and sustaining self-sufficiency.
Compassionate and caring characterizes the gifts in operation within this ministry. Jesus said when I was hungry you fed me, when I was naked you clothed me, in other words when I was in need you came to my aid! Helping others in need is the main focus of this ministry. Through donations of money, clothes, appliances, and through the use of public agencies, personal experiences and extraordinary effort the Faith and Families ministry reaches out a helping hand wherever God leads.

Mission Statement: To assist couples with the development of a strong foundation for a Godly marriage.
There is no greater institution in God’s eyes outside of the institution of marriage. It is the very first institution that comes of under the attack of Satan in the Genesis. This is a clear indication that God expects the body of Christ to pay close attention to preserving the marriage between a man and woman. Therefore, we have dedicated a tremendous amount of our resources to ensure that families are given every opportunity to flourish in a healthy environment of spiritual awareness about the manifold blessings available to every Christian marriage. Through seminars, fellowship outings, marital retreats and counseling we demonstrate our commitment to win the battle against divorce, abandonment, abuse and neglect so often experienced by couples.
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance while serving in this ministry because of sensitive information disclosed during counseling sessions. In order to protect the privacy of counselees the leadership is very selective about who may be asked to serve.

Mission Statement: To embrace the military community and make as many of our military families in the shortest time possible into warriors for Christ as well as member of the armed forces.
The First Baptist Church family recognizes the persons involved with the armed forces as being worthy of the ministry of the Church of Jesus Christ. These individuals are often taken out of reach of the traditional ministries of evangelism, discipleship and support provided by the Church. The ministry to the military has been created to "take the church to those who have been taken from the church." Also, this ministry has dedicated itself to ensure that the sacrifices made by the men and women of this great nation are never taken for granted. Through flag dedications, moments of silence during worship service, special prayer intercessions, and by honoring those who have shown themselves to be worthy of special recognition the Military Ministry has step forward and made itself present and accounted for.

Mission Statement: The mission of the First Baptist Church Nursery Ministry is to assist families by providing a safe, loving, age-appropriate learning environment where children are exposed to Biblical truth so that they may know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Children are our special responsibility, entrusted to our care by God. The Church is meant to be a place where they can grow in body, mind, and spirit; a place where they can meet Christ and be nurtured in a growing, life-giving faith. The goal of the Nursery Ministry is to provide a safe, loving and fun environment for the youngest members of our church while the parents are able to pursue their faith development. The nursery is open during Wednesday night Bible study, Church School hour on Sunday mornings and during each worship service. Also, care is available during revivals and other special programmed events.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Hospitality Ministry is to show the love of Christ to our guests and welcome them in such a way that they would want to return.
This ministry was created to help establish an atmosphere of friendliness and warmth as people arrive for worship. The Hospitality Ministry is responsible for the planning, organization, and coordination of programs that will result in the First Baptist Church being realized as a body of caring believers who show hospitality to all who come our way. While the ministry does require the leadership and support of volunteer families and individuals, the ultimate fulfillment of this ministry will be realized when the body, as a whole, develops a persona of hospitality.
