Worship Ministry

Music & Collaborative Arts

Mission Statement: The First Baptist Church MCA Ministry is devoted to glorifying God through music, dance, drama and miming worship. We seek to spread God's holy message of love and redemption for all people through Our Savior, Jesus Christ.

We believe that God has given us a tremendous opportunity to grow and minister to this church and community, but we understand that it takes uncommon commitment. May God richly bless you as you examine our ministry opportunities and examine your participation through your uncommon commitments. We would be thrilled if God leads you to join us in the ministry opportunities and challenges He has placed before us. Our music & collaborative arts ministry is what some label as "blended." We see great value in the expression of dancing and stepping to God’s glory. We find great encouragement in the hymns of our faith, joy in singing the vertical praise of contemporary worship songs as well. Our choirs and orchestra share a wide variety of musical styles in their worship selections. It is the desire of our ministry that you will have a vital encounter with God through worship each time you join us for worship.

Ushers

Mission Statement: To make all worshippers feel comfortable while lending spiritual dignity to the church services by being prompt, courteous, tactful and unobtrusive.

We believe this ministry is ordained by God and anointed by the Holy Spirit. Ushers’ Ministry is one of helps, with a variety of functions. It is a very visible ministry, and it plays a vital role before, after, and during Church Services and special events. We are called to represent Jesus Christ and to be an extension of His heart and hands for those in our congregation and for visitors. We are called to assist our Pastor in accomplishing his goal through the teaching of God’s Word and equipping the saints for further work of the ministry and helping to fulfill his vision for FBC and ministry. This ministry continues to illustrate its commitment to the service of others through the FBC Meals on Wheels, which provides free meals monthly to the sick/shut-in, and needy throughout the community of Warner Robins.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:42-45)

Deacons

Mission Statement: A ministry who is committed to shouldering the burden of serving Christ and the congregation while participating in accomplishing the mission of First Baptist Church by responding to the needs of the assembly.

Each Deacon has been tested according to 1Timothy 3 and serves faithfully the body of believers. The Deacons carry on various ministries within the body to meet the physical needs of the Church under the direction and encouragement of the Pastor and Pastoral staff. Currently they oversee our benevolence needs which provide emergency assistance for needy people and are responsible for the set up and serving of communion. They also are available to assist the pastoral staff in meeting the needs of our body. The Deacons meet and counsel with the Chairman of Deacons once a month regarding the physical needs that arise in the body. They are encouraged to pray for any in the flock for whom they are caring; they continue to serve the flock, exercising love, hospitality, care and good counsel. The number of Deacons ordained is left up to the Pastor according to the needs of the Church. Another extremely important fascate of this dynamic ministry is, The FBC Family Care Ministry.

Kitchen Ministry

Mission Statement: To encourage relationships and sharing among our church family by preparing fellowship meals.

"They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people." (NIV) (Acts 2:46-47)

The First Baptist Kitchen Ministry is blessed to have an exceptional staff who continues with excellence to provide delicious and nutritious snacks every Sunday, provide food requirements for all scheduled Church activities and an immaculate clean up afterwards. Just as the kitchen is the heart of many homes, in many ways the church's kitchen is the heart of the church. Serving in the Kitchen Ministry brings with it unexpected rewards. It offers the opportunity to build closer relationships with the church community that spans all age groups and interests. Men and women working together in the church kitchen produce a unique, informal Christian environment where one can display his/her special talents while serving God.
